The scenography is conceived as a photographic framing on the different themes from the many pictures to explore by this artist. At the center of these different themes, the scenography is oriented in order to create a perspective that frames the viewer's gaze on a large format reproduction representing the photographer.
Through a change of scale, and a graphic composition to transcribe the deep soul of the photographs taken by this passionate observer. The journey through the exhibition will take place through 3 themes representing the different facets of this artist. At first, the visitor will be invited to discover “the first framing” retracing the professional who was this observer? Playing with the different supports we put forward the singular gaze of this enthusiast, each side will be made up of the different series of inventories carried out by this artist. At the center of the exhibition, the visitor will be invited to discover the artistic gaze of this enthusiast, through the scenography will slightly tilt its partitions like "an alley of silver prints". In this last frame, the visitor will be invited to discover the biography of Joël Levillain through images and texts highlighted in a dynamic and educational way.
